April 2024 Updates + An Announcement!

 Talk about an eventful month! April started and ended with a bang. First of all, did you SEE the eclipse? I got to watch it right outside the FOCUS office with all of the current year’s apprentices. We look so goofy in our “3D glasses” 😛 It was such a neat experience to share with friends! 

Every year, UTD FOCUS holds a “parking lot graduation” for all of the graduating students in our ministry. My good friend Caroline finished her master’s degree this month and walked in the parking lot graduation ceremony!

I’m so proud of the hard work she has put in over the years!!

And of course, it wouldn’t be spring without a wedding… two of our faithful FOCUS pastors sealed the deal last month! Congratulations to Becca and Joey!

One more announcement…

If you’re still reading, I want you to know that I appreciate your prayers for and investment in my ministry these past two years. I would not trade my time working on FOCUS staff for anything! It has been such a blast and has helped me cement existing friendships and create so many new ones. I am so privileged to have the opportunity to give back to the ministry that shaped my life. 

That said, my tenure with FOCUS is coming to an end. I spent the last month looking for a new opportunity, and I’m happy to report that I have accepted a position with East-West Ministries! I will stay with FOCUS until the end of June, at which point I will transition off and join the East-West staff as a Human Resources Generalist. I am so looking forward to it and I’m excited to continue my work in ministry!

Thank you so much for your support over the years! This month, I will be asking all of my ministry partners to transition to the support teams of other staff members. Please pray for the FOCUS staff as the pastors and administrators fundraise to continue their work in campus ministry next year 🙏🏽
