Marriage, Mexico, and More...

How can I capture all the events of October? The best I can do is tell you that it was a blur. Between working, moving, planning a wedding, participating in multiple pre-wedding celebrations, actually getting married, and going on my honeymoon, October felt more like five months packed into one. It was overwhelming in the very best way!

Here I am with all of my bridesmaids before the ceremony! These are eight of my favorite people in the world. Many of them are women I met through the FOCUS community 💜

After the wedding, the husband and I took off to Mexico for a week! It was such a fun and magical trip. It was hard getting back to reality when we came home, but there's still much to look forward to. I'm so excited to experience our first holiday season as a married couple!

Call me Mrs. Solis :)

In other news, UTD FOCUS hosted our annual Family Night in October! Quite a few of our students invited their parents, siblings, and other friends and family to join us for worship, a sermon, and testimonies from a few parents of FOCUS students. Several alumni made an appearance as well!

This lecture hall was packed out for Family Night!

And now, for another exciting announcement...

I'm sure that if you're reading this, you are familiar with Giving Tuesday. You might be less familiar with the annual Keep FOCUS Growing fundraiser that is happening on Giving Tuesday (November 29th). This campaign funds things like on-campus outreach materials and events, administrative support, staff development, and planting new campuses.

Some of our generous donors have banded together and agreed to match up to $54,000 in total donations during this campaign. That means if we receive $54,000 in total contributions, they will kick in a second $54,000! Your first chance to give will be on November 29th! I encourage you to consider supporting our efforts to Keep FOCUS Growing. We couldn't do what we do without you!

Last but not least, check out the monthly student testimony to read one student's story and see how you can pray for our ministry.
