July Update!

 Things started to ramp up in July as each FOCUS campus team prepared for their welcome weeks! For campus ministries, a lot of thought and planning goes into the first 1-2 weeks of school. We have found that this is the time when the most students are interested in getting involved on campus. Much of our time over the summer goes into planning the events we will host when students arrive in August!

With summer comes more free time, and what better way to spend that time than bonding with your team? As a member of the Campus Admin Team (we call ourselves the CATs 🐱), I got to spend a couple of hours eating hibachi and playing Jackbox games with the other campus admins!

Summer FOCUS continued going strong throughout July! One of our UTD pastors, Lailah Duke, had the excellent idea to include a gospel choir during the worship time at one of our Thursday night meetings. She invited several students and alumni to participate, and they did a beautiful job singing praises to the Lord! I'm excited to experience more gospel music in our campus worship services this school year.
