December Update! ❄️

I love December! Christmas is my favorite holiday. For the last few years, one of my favorite holiday traditions has been making tamales with my husband’s family. We have it down to a science! My favorite part is spreading the masa or dough onto the corn husks.

We made over 250 tamales this year 😅

Every December, the FOCUS interns (known as apprentices) give sermons to the rest of our staff, sharing their stories and the ways God has been present in their lives. I was truly blessed by many of this year’s sermons! I’m excited to hear more from the apprentices when they give their next sermons in May. 

Of course it wouldn’t be Christmas without a party! Our staff celebrated the end of the semester with fajitas, cheesecake, and reflecting on the past few months of ministry.
